10. REC

Rec is a Spanish zombie horror film released in 2007.The movie is about a news crew venturing into a quarantined building where a zombie outbreak has occurred.  Rec short of Record centers on a reporter and her cameraman covering a fire fighter involvement in a flat building in Barcelona. As the situation escalates, after some of the building’s tenants show animalistic and mortal behavior, the reporter and cameraman find themselves confined inside the perilous building. Rec co written and directed by aume Balagueró and Paco Plaza . is one of the few films where the found footage aspect works incredibly well. You feel just as claustrophobic as the characters, making for a tense, engaging experience. Rec is also remade in Hollywood as quarantine in 2008.

9. I am legend

I am legend is a science fiction zombie horror thriller released in 2007. This will smith starrer movie is about Robert Neville the last man alive busies himself with preparing for a nightly attack from the rest of the world. This rancis Lawrence directorial movie is based on the 1954 novel of the same name by Richard Matheson.The story is set in New York City after a virus, which was originally created to cure cancer, has wiped out most of mankind, leaving Will smith’s character Robert Neville as the last human in New York, other than nocturnal mutants. He attempts to find a way to reverse the effects of the man-made virus by using his own immune blood. The 1964’s The Last Man on Earth and 1971’s The Omega Man are also portrayed the same story.

08. Zombie land

Zombieland is an American post-apocalyptic zombie comedy released in 2009.This Ruben Fleischer directorial movie is about fighters of a zombie apocalypse. The film follows a shy college student making his way through the zombie disaster, meeting three strangers along the way and together taking a lengthy road trip across Ohio in an attempt to find a sanctuary free from zombies. Zombie land also has a sequel, namely Zombieland: Double Tap, which was released in 2019

Ojuju is a Nigerian zombie thriller film released in the year 2014. The story of C.J. Obasi directorial movie begins when the water supply in an isolated Nigerian slum becomes infected, the neighborhood quickly converts into a hazard of flesh-eating undead. Expectant father Romero must weigh his instinct for survival against his anguish when his pregnant girlfriend begins displaying some strange symptoms. He joins forces with smart-aleck friend, Peju, and the pair endeavors to seepage the infested neighborhood, dodging zombified drug dealers, ex-lovers, friends, and more along the way. Against this backdrop, the premise of impurity in a country of 190 million people, where close to half the population lacks access to clean water, results in a film that breaks beyond the boundaries of horror, and makes “Ojuju” more of a socio-political allegory.

6 . Shaun of the Dead
Shaun of the Dead is a horror comedy zombie film released in 2004. Lead actor Simon Pegg who is also the co-writer of the film plays the role of electronic salesman Shaun who later caught in an apocalyptic zombie uprising .This movie directed by Edgar Wright, deals with the Zombie attack on 3 friends. The film also stars Kate Ashfield, Lucy Davis, and Penelope Wilton. It is the first installment in Wright and Pegg’s Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy, followed by Hot Fuzz which is released in 2007 and The World’s End in 2013.

In between the eye-gouging, acid face-melting, and all manner of blood and guts Fulci summons up for his ghastly visions. The Beyond (1981) transcends conventional labels. The film has proven the most enduring of the lot, and for good reason, it’s a hypnotic foible, as unsettling as it is confused.

4. 28 weeks later
28 Weeks Later is a 2007 apocalyptic horror film directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo,. This movie is a sequel to the 2002 film 28 Days Later. It is set after the events of the first film. Six months after the Rage virus curved half of Britain into zombies, the US Army helps secure London for the survivors after a carrier of the virus enters the city and the horror begins once again. 28 Weeks Later is a solid entry to zombie tenet. It does a brilliant job of carrying over the pessimistic themes from the first film, and it contains some amazing action sequences.

This 2002 released movie is the first installment in the Resident Evil film series, which is loosely based on the video game series of the same name. The movie follows Alice and Rain the members of an leading commando team, fight hordes of flesh-eating zombies controlled by an evil supercomputer in a genetic research facility. The facility’s artificial intelligence, the Red Queen, closures the Squirrel and kills everyone inside. The film received 5 sequels

02. Dawn of the Dead
Dawn of the Dead is an independent horror film directed and edited by George A. Romero. This 1978 movie shows the effects of a zombie apocalypse on society in a larger scale. In the film, a phenomenon of anonymous origin has caused the reanimation of the dead, who target on human flesh. The story begins when hordes of zombies swarm over the U.S., the terrified populace tries everything in their power to escape the attack of the undead, but neither cities nor the topography prove safe. In Pennsylvania, radio-station employee Stephen and his girlfriend, outflow in the station helicopter, accompanied by two rebel SWAT members. The group departures to the haven of an enclosed shopping center to make what could be humanity’s last stand. . There are so many visuals in the film that are iconic, and it still works as the ideal template for modern zombie films. A remake was Dawn of the Dead released in 2004 with the same name.

This South Korean action horror film is selected as the best Zombie movie because it’s a taut zombie thriller with terrifying monsters and a surprising amount of drama. Train to Busan is a proper return to form for the genre, an old-fashioned zombie drama with heart and soul. This 2016 film directed by Yeon Sang-ho mostly takes place on a train to Busan as a zombie apocalypse unexpectedly breaks out in the country and intimidates the safety of the travelers. Train to Bussan is packed with zombie action that uses the tight billets to thrilling effect, traveling through the cars of the train with a series of creative set-pieces that put the physicality of these contorted, fast-moving zombies to great effect. Unlike other horror movies, you actually care about the supporting actors, and each one is given a shocking amount of depth. At its core, it’s about a father wanting to safeguard his daughter but coming up short until the very end. It pulls you in and doesn’t let go.
